Saturday 16th October is World Food Day; a worldwide event designed to increase awareness, understanding and informed, year-around action to alleviate hunger.
This day, declared by the UN General Assembly, aims to heighten public awareness of world food problems and strengthen solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. The theme for World Food Day 2021 is “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow”
Each year, on 16th October, Concern Worldwide joins organisations around the world in commemorating World Food Day, marking the day the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) was founded in 1945. Concern Worldwide, whose motto is tackling hunger, transforming lives highlight some incredibly worthy causes on their website, such as the plight of people such as Sallay from Sierra Leone. Sallay amazingly survived Ebola following a one month battle in hospital, however her struggle was far from over. She lost Abdul, her husband and companion of 40 years, and her whole community was devastated by the disease. Her family and neighbours were quarantined to help prevent the spread of Ebola, but this resulted in the crops they rely on for food being left to die in the fields. Sallay, and what remains of her community, may have survived Ebola but they then faced a life where they had nothing.
Our current global crisis will have an impact on many communities too.
The World Farmers' Organisation (WFO) wholeheartedly supports this year's theme, since it reflects a clear intention to highlight important agriculture-related issues and draws attention to achievements in rural development and encourages agricultural food production. WFO state that in this context, the role played by the farmers is crucial, because farmers play a key role in the process of fighting hunger and finding concrete remedies that address issues affecting food security and nutrition.
World action days like this help communities to feel connected, bringing balance and harmony into people's lives. Harmony Healing utilises Ancient Egyptian Philosophies to bring balance and harmony to people.
Harmony Healing utilises the philosophies of the Ancient Egyptians, in the form of Reyad Sekh Em (RSE) Egyptian Alchemy Healing, to bring balance and harmony. Reyad Sekh Em (RSE) Level 1 - a new series of virtual interactive training modules starts 1st December.
Within Surrey, via Harmony In Nature, we facilitate Forest bathing+ sessions to help adults reconnect with nature and reap the therapeutic benefits (see Forest Bathing+ section for costs and dates of our events).

Cost to participate is £20 by online BACS payment (small admin fee added for PayPal) or half price to RSE graduates. There are multi-buy packages for regular attendees. Book at the Harmony Shop.
During these monthly sessions, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme. And, most importantly, it's a step towards making a difference to the global predicament.
Reyad Sekh Em® is an ultra high vibration healing system combining ancient Egyptian philosophies, alchemy, angelic elemental healing rays, sound vibration, sacred breathing and etheric crystalline energies. The next series starts wiith Mindful Chakra Balancing on 1st December 2021.
If you would like to experience one of our spiritual offerings (meditation, reading, 1:1 healing, a Forest Bathing+ session or a full mentoring course), why not ask for a Harmony Healing gift voucher for a birthday or other celebratory occasion?
