🌕 Vine Harvest & Equinox Full Moon
Integration, Gratitude and Soul Ripening
Saturday 26th September 2026
Tomorrow’s Vine Full Moon reaches its peak at 17.49 UK time, carrying with it the traditional energies of the Harvest Moon — the Full Moon occurring closest to the Autumn Equinox.
Coming only a few days after the Autumn Equinox, this is a particularly beautiful moment to pause, take stock and acknowledge what has ripened within our lives.
At the Equinox, light and darkness come into balance before the scales begin to tip towards the longer nights of autumn. The Full Moon now illuminates that threshold, inviting us not simply to move onwards, but first to gather in our harvest.
🍇 The Wisdom of Vine
Vine is a wonderful symbol for this point on the Wheel of the Year.
A vine cannot be hurried into fruitfulness. It requires patience, tending, the right conditions and the passage of time. Its tendrils reach out for support, adapting to what surrounds them as they seek the light.
And eventually, what has been quietly developing becomes visible.
So it can be with us.
Not everything that has grown within us during the year will look like an obvious achievement. Our harvest may include new understanding, greater resilience, a relationship that has deepened, a boundary we have learned to hold, something we have finally released, or a subtle shift in how we see ourselves and the world.
Some fruits have ripened in full view.
Others have been quietly maturing where nobody else could see them.
The Vine Full Moon invites us to recognise both.
🌾 What Is in Your Harvest?
Harvest traditionally brings gratitude for abundance, but abundance does not necessarily mean having more.
Sometimes our richest harvest comes from discovering what truly matters.
As the Full Moon illuminates the landscape, you might take a few moments to consider:
What has ripened for me during this year?
What have I learned?
What have I nurtured that is now beginning to bear fruit?
What challenge has yielded unexpected wisdom?
What people, experiences or opportunities have nourished me?
And perhaps most importantly:
What has changed within me that I might not yet have acknowledged?
There may be things you once hoped would come to fruition which have not. There may also be unexpected fruits growing in places where you never thought to look.
Harvest asks us to notice what is actually there.
⚖️ The Equinox Threshold
The closeness of this Full Moon to the Autumn Equinox adds another layer to its symbolism.
The Equinox reminds us of balance — not as something static or perfect, but as a moment within an ever-changing cycle.
Nature does not remain at the point of equal light and darkness. The balance is reached, experienced and then released as the Earth continues its journey around the Sun.
Perhaps we can do the same.
We can pause long enough to recognise where we are, honour what has brought us here, and then allow ourselves to move onwards.
There may be aspects of the year that have fulfilled their purpose.
Plans that have changed.
Expectations we no longer need to carry.
Old stories, habits or attachments that have yielded whatever wisdom they contained.
We do not have to discard them with resentment. We can thank them for their place in our journey and allow them to return, symbolically, to the Earth.
🍂 Gathering What We Wish to Carry Forward
Harvest is not only about gathering everything that has grown.
It is also about discernment.
Traditionally, some of the harvest would sustain people through winter. Some would be preserved. Some seeds would be saved for another growing season.
So, too, we can choose what we wish to carry forward.
What wisdom deserves to be preserved?
What qualities have strengthened within you?
What would you like to nourish through the quieter months ahead?
Rather than rushing immediately towards the next goal, this Full Moon offers an opportunity to receive what has already been earned.
To let gratitude become something we feel rather than simply something we think.
To allow experience to become wisdom.
And perhaps to let that wisdom settle deeply enough that it becomes part of who we are.
🌕 A Simple Vine Harvest Full Moon Ritual
If you would like to mark this Full Moon at home, find a quiet place and light a candle.
If available, place a small bowl of grapes, seasonal fruit or another symbol of harvest beside you.
Take a few slow breaths and allow yourself to become present.
Bring to mind three things that have ripened in your life during this year. They need not be achievements. They might be insights, qualities, relationships, changes or lessons.
For each one, silently say:
I recognise this.
I honour what brought it into being.
I receive its wisdom with gratitude.
Then consider one thing whose cycle feels complete.
Acknowledge what it has given you and, when you feel ready, imagine releasing it gently back to the Earth.
Finally, take one grape or small piece of fruit.
Before eating it, allow it to represent the essence of something from your personal harvest that you wish to carry forward.
Taste it slowly.
Imagine its nourishment becoming part of you — the wisdom of your experience being received not only by the mind, but drawn gently into every cell of your being.
✨ Integration, Gratitude and Soul Ripening
There is something particularly beautiful about recognising that our inner harvest cannot always be measured from the outside.
We may look back and think we have not travelled very far, while profound changes have actually been taking place beneath the surface.
This is soul ripening.
The gradual transformation of experience into understanding.
Of challenge into resilience.
Of knowledge into wisdom.
The Harvest Full Moon reminds us to stop long enough to notice it.
And as the Wheel turns towards the darker half of the year, perhaps we do not need to carry everything with us.
Only what truly nourishes us.
🌕 Join Me for the Vine Harvest & Equinox Full Moon Meditation
On Saturday 26th September, 7.30–9.30pm UK time, I’ll be holding our live online Vine Harvest & Equinox Full Moon Meditation on Zoom.
Together we will explore the themes of Integration, Gratitude and Soul Ripening, working with the balancing energies of the Equinox and the wisdom of Vine.
We’ll reflect upon our own personal harvests — recognising growth that has unfolded both visibly and unseen — before gently releasing what has served its purpose.
Through meditation, embodiment and reflective stillness, we will gather the wisdom we wish to carry forward and draw that earned wisdom into the cells.
Our journey will close by allowing each of us to symbolically taste our own harvest, receiving its nourishment and carrying it with us as the Wheel turns towards autumn and the quieter months ahead.
