  • Monday 30th November, Elder Full Moon, Penumbral Eclipse (& Virtual Meditation)

Moon Scarletts shotMonday 30th November @ 09.32(GMT/UT; click here to convert to your time zone) is the Elder Full Moon and it's also a Penumbral Lunar eclipse.

The eclipse will be at least partially visible in much of Europe, North & South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, Asia and Australia. It will be visible in London at 07.32 when the eclipse begins but will then disappear below the horizon. However, penumbral eclipses are not always easy to discern at all. See more about the November eclipse on timeanddate.com.

This is the first of two eclipses, with a total solar eclipse on 14th December, visible only from Chile and parts of Argentina. More details at timeanddate.com.

Even if we can't see much (or anything at all from some parts of the globe) there will still be an effect energetically. Tonight, Monday 30th November, we are holding the next Virtual Harmony Healing Circle, 7.30-9.30pm £11 (half price to VFoA & RSE graduates).

According to Astrologer Andrea Dupuis at risingwoman.com, this eclipse falls in the 8th degree of Gemini. Andrea tells us that eclipses are amongst the most vital cosmic events we can experience. They usher in change and signal big endings and new beginnings. Her motto is Expect the Unexpected.Andrea tells us that the partial Full Moon Eclipse in Gemini is the second to last eclipse before the end of 2020. This year we had a total of 7 eclipses, which is very rare. Most years we have 4-5 maximum. This eclipse, being partial, will not affect us as much as a full eclipse (like the December one), but the impact is heightened for those with personal planets in the sign of Gemini or Sagittarius.

UK-based astrologer Lisa Mendes claims that eclipses warn us that things may not be as they seem. Reflection on alternative meanings could be advisable. Childhood issues may come up for clearing and we could be feeling vulnerable a few days either side, especially as our political environment could be making folks feel vulnerable anyway.  Six months ago, back in June, Lisa told us:

"Over the next 18 months or so, expect the spotlight to move from family dynamics and childhood traumas and wounds, to fall on how we make decisions and/or moral calls (faith vs reason) and discern fact from fiction when it comes to navigating the Information Age. Do we truly think logically when we make important political decisions, for example, or do we default to deeply-held belief systems or become overly reliant on commonly-held assumptions? Elon Musk is quoted as saying that one way we can very quickly unplug from the matrix and start thinking independently is to question all assumptions and go back to first principles - not a bad idea, especially in an era where psychological manipulation and cyber warfare by stealth is mostly how elections are won."

See Lisa's astrologysphere.com website for more. For those interested in the impact of eclipses on their personal zodiac, Lisa offers complementary video 'eclipse-scopes' to her subscribers, you can sign up at her astrology sphere online shop.

London astrologer Tanya Cohen points out that the Jupiter and Pluto conjunctions we've experienced three times this year on 4th April, 29th June, 12th November have all coincided with heightened periods of the spread of COVID worldwide and massive death tolls.  I found her following information really fascinating, albeit alarming.

Tanya tells us that Pluto and Jupiter were conjunct in Aries, during the black death, the deadliest pandemic in human history back in 1347.  In 1771, they met again, this time in Capricorn, when the last big outbreak of the bubonic plague happened in Russia. And, in 1918, they were also conjunct in Cancer during the Spanish flu epidemic as well as in 1981, this time in Libra, at the start of the AIDS pandemic.

According to Tanya, an eclipse, particularly during Scorpio season (we've just moved from Scorpio to Sagittarius), means the veil between the conscious and subconscious will be very thin - whatever’s been repressed is likely to emerge. With the eclipse taking place on the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of knowledge and information, it is time for the truth to come out. If you'd like a chart drawn up by Tanya (I've had one - amazing) get in touch via .

At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are in opposition. The solar (sun) energy influences our masculine/yang archetypal attributes (our outer world) such as strength, courage, identity, self-esteem, expression, conscious beliefs, and determination together with our logical outlook. Whereas the lunar energy (moon) influences our femininely archetypal attributes (our inner world), such as our unconscious beliefs, hidden emotions, nurturing feelings, creativity and intuition. The Full Moon is a powerful and appropriate time to show gratitude for life and the riches and bounty bestowed upon us by Mother Earth (Gaia).

The Moon shines due to its surface reflecting the Sun's rays. A lunar eclipse takes place when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon thereby blocking some or all of the Sun's light from reaching to the Moon. A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when there is an imperfect alignment between the Sun, Earth, and the Moon; causing the Earth to block some of the Sun's light from reaching the Moon's surface. This covers all (or part of) the Moon with the outer edge of its shadow, which is also known as the penumbra. The penumbra is considerably fainter than the dark core of the Earth's shadow; hence a penumbral eclipse of the Moon is often difficult to distinguish from a normal Full Moon. See timeanddate.com for a detailed explanation.

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, and associated each with a tree; this is the Elder Moon(thoughtco.com). The Elder Moon marks a time of passing. The Elder bush damages easily but bursts back into life recovering promptly and so it is representing the coming New Year. The Celts called this month Ruish (pronounced roo-esh) and it's a time for renewal, rejuvenation and creativity, endings and beginnings and therefore still honouring the cycle of life - birth, death and re-birth.  Elder is used in magic lore to connect with the Faerie realms and nature spirits and is reputed to protect against negative entities.

Other names for a Full Moon in December are: Cold Moon, Moon Before Yule, Long Night Moon (Northern Hemisphere) or Strawberry Moon, Honey Moon, Rose Moon (Southern Hemisphere). Names for the moon can also relate to the season, so this Full Moon could also be called the Harvest Moon, Hunter’s Moon, Frosty Moon, Beaver Moon, Moon before Yule or Long Night Moon (after the autumnal equinox)or Grass Moon, Egg Moon, Planting Moon, Milk Moon, Rose Moon, Flower Moon, Strawberry Moon (after the spring equinox). Source = earthsky.org.

Gabriel Harmony Angel CardIf you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel. See link for instructions on Angela's Angelic Meditation with Gabriel.

To the right is a beautiful image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood from my sister Angel McGerr's A Harmony of Angels book (and Harmony Angel Cards).

Both are out of print and collectible but we still have a few remaining copies via the Harmony Shop.

The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the New moon (good for starting new projects) and Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) is excellent for bringing harmony and wellbeing into our lives.

Harmony Healing activities are aimed at bringing harmony and wellbeing into your life. If you are looking for spiritually enlightening activities during lockdown, which help to connect you with the lunar cycle, we have the next virtual healing circle tonight and New Year New Vision is a lunar connection programme starting on the first New Moon of 2021.

If you would like to experience one of our spiritual offerings (meditation, reading, 1:1 healing, a Forest Bathing+ session or a full mentoring course), why not ask for a Harmony Healing gift voucherfor a Christmas, birthday or other celebratory occasion?

Our next virtual healing circle on Monday 30th November is at 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT), and costs £10 (+ £1 Paypal fee). During this session, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme.

New Year New Vision is a mentoring programme through the first full lunar cycle of 2021. This includes distant attunements to the Moon (New Moons on 13th January and 11th February plus Full Moon on Thursday 28th January), plus a ritual with the elements on the Imbolc ceremony (1st February) and ending on the Chinese New Year of the Ox (11th February). Costing £111, it will be available to just 11 participants, more at the Harmony Website.

A number of virtual courses are now ready, details on Harmony Healing Virtual Events. Currently, due to Coronavirus, most events will be virtual hence distant readings and healings are proving popular. We don't recommend giving a reading or healing to another person, without first checking whether it would be welcomed.

Joanna offers distant intuitive readings (past life and/or aura readings) and distant 1-2-1 healings and virtual healing circles. We also have meditations available.

To receive regular Blog updates (headed with a title detailing the occasion or event so that you can choose whether to open it or not), featuring New and Full Moon, meteor showers, eclipses and other meteorological events, interesting anniversaries, ancient festival dates plus notification of dates of numerological significance, sign up for the Harmony Healing e-newsletters above or at the top of any page of this Harmony Healing website. • Monday 3rd August, Holly Full Moon plus Hindu Festival

Image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood fro Angela McGerr's Harmony Angel Cards

Monday 3rd August @ 16.59 is Full Moon (Holly Moon). Tonight, I'm holding a Virtual Harmony Healing Circle, 7.30-9.30pm UK time, £11 (half price to VFoA/RSE graduates).

The image left is from Angela McGerr's Harmony Angel Cards, and also in A Harmony of Angels book, both available from the Harmony Shop.

Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

The Druids and Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year. The Druids, venerated all nature and to them this is the Holly Moon,an evergreen which reminds us of the immortality of nature. This Full Moon was also known by the Celts as the Tinne, pronounced chihnn-uh';they saw hollyas a potent symbol of masculinity and firmness. Weapons were often constructed from its wood but it was also revered for its protective magic. A sprig of holly can be hung in the home, or used as a charm, for safety and good luck. Holly water was created by soaking leaves overnight in spring water under a full moon, then used for protective blessing. I wonder if it was the origin of 'holy water'?  More about this at the Celtic Weirdness website.

© Surub | <a href="https://www.stockfreeimages.com/">Stock Free Images</a>Similarly the Native American tribes named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. The Full Moon in August is the Sturgeon Moon. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Some Native Americans identified this as the Sturgeon Moon as it was the month when the fish were typically abundant in North America. Although once plentiful, sadly now they are rare enough to be considered endangered. Sturgeons can grow enormous - they can reach over 2 metres long and weigh up to 90 kilos, plus they can have amazingly long lives, the males up to 55 years and the females up to 150 years.  Sturgeons have a strange grey-green colouration, a pointed snout and feature a cat-like pair of tactile whiskers above their mouth (amazing photo by © SurubStock Free Images) and are sometimes referred to as 'living fossils' as they are part of a genus of fish which has existed for over 135 million years! See more at timeanddate.com.

Other tribes knew this August Full Moon as the Green Corn Moon, Grain Moon, Barley Moonand Fruit Moon, as it was the month when these various crops were harvested. American Farmers have adopted these titles so that they are still used today. (See article in the Telegraph for more on this).

Monday 3rd August is also Raksha Bandhan, the Hindu festival honouring the bond between brothers and sisters.  Celebrated on the day of the Full Moon in August, see Wikipedia for more on this.

Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) and the New moon (good for starting new projects)is excellent for bringing harmony and wellbeing into our lives.

Harmony Healing utilises the philosophies of the Ancient Egyptians to bring balance and harmony. • Nights of Sunday 13th/Monday 14th December, Peak of Geminid Meteors

    Geminid image from Earthsky website

Sunday 13th - Monday 14th December is the peak of the Geminid Meteor Shower. The Geminids are considered by many to be the best annual meteor shower and are known for producing multicoloured meteors 65% being white, 26% yellow, and the remaining 9% blue, red and green. Rates typically peak at 100-120/hour; this high activity lasts for several hours. It is certainly possible to see 80-100 Geminids in a single hour, but only from a dark site! The Geminid Meteor Shower is expected to peak in activity on the night of December 13th-14th, although some meteors should be visible from December 7th – 21st. The radiant point for this shower will be in the constellation Gemini. Best viewing is usually to the east after midnight. The New Moon on the night of 14th December will greatly improve viewing due to less light pollution. Go to Earthsky Website for further information.

Even if you can't see anything, there will be an impact energetically.

Zikiel croppedYou can invoke the Angel Zikiel (Angel Guardian of Meteors and Asteroids) to help bring in new ideas. The image of Zikiel (left) is by Richard Rockwood from Angela McGerr's Heart & Soul Angel Cards.

Zikiel guides the comets and meteorites in their eternal passage through space, tracking man's galactic origins. Zikiel therefore offers you a visionary flash of inspiration from the Sky.

See the Harmony Healing Annual Meteor Shower page for the full ritual, taken from Angela McGerr's An Angel For Every Day - now out of print and in short supply. However, we do still have some of Angela's out of print titles (generally also personally signed by her) available via Harmony Healing Shop, which has collectable signed copies of the Heart & Soul Angel Cards for £75 plus postage and packing, as well as some pre-loved fully complete sets for £30 + postage and packing. An Angel For Every Dayis available at £35 (paperback) or £50 (hardback) plus postage and packing.

  • Saturday 14th September, Equinox Micro Full Moon @ 05.53

Image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood fro Angela McGerr's Harmony Angel Cards

Saturday 14th September @ 05.53 (Friday night/Saturday Morning) is the Equinox Micro Full Moon. This year it's also the Equinox Moon because of its proximity to the Equinox which this year is Monday 23rd @ 08.50, which will be the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere (including the UK) and the Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.

A Micromoon happens when a New Moon or Full Moon coincides with the apogee; when the Moon's orbit is farthest away from Earth. Because the Moon orbits Earth on an elliptical path, one side of the path is always closer to the Earth than the other. See  timeanddate.com for more about this.

Click here for Angela McGerr's Full Moon Meditation with Gabriel. Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body.

Image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood from Angela McGerr's Harmony Angel Cards, available from the Harmony Shop (signed by Angela).

Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, and associated each with a tree; this is the Vine Moon (thoughtco.com). All over the northern hemisphere, at this time of year, the fruits of the vine are ripe for harvesting and ready for the first stages of wine production. The vine is a symbol of passionate emotions whether expressing either joy or wrath. The Celts called the month Muin (Neopagans call it Mabon) and typical celebrations would include magical workings connecting with gardens involving both ends of the emotional spectrum (such as exhilaration and rage) acknowledging also the darker aspects of the Mother Goddess. Vine leaves can be used to enhance goals and ambitions. This year, being very close to the Equinox, the Vine Moon will carry the frequency of balance and harmony embodied by the Equinox when light and dark are in perfect balance.

Similarly the Native American tribes, and indeed Anglo-Saxon and Germanic Tribes, named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. The Full Moon in September is the Harvest Moon. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Whilst some believe that Harvest Moon was a Native American expression, the term has been recorded in Anglo Saxon and Old High German languages since the 700s. See more at timeanddate.com.

Other Native American tribes knew this September Full Moon as the Barley Moon and Full Corn Moon to signify when these crops are at their most ready for harvesting. Many American Farmers have adopted these titles so that they are still used today. (See article in the Telegraph for more on this).

  • Saturday 18th May, Hawthorn Full Blue Moon (& Angelic Meditation)

Moon Scarletts shotSaturday 18th May @ 22.11 UK time(GMT/UT+1;click here to convert to your time zone) is the Hawthorn Full Moon. It's also a Blue Moon. Although the modern definition of a Blue Moon is where we have two full moons in the same calendar month, the original definition was when a particular season (between any Solstice and the next Equinox or vice versa) has four full moons rather than the typical three, the third full moon is called a Blue Moon.It does not refer to any actual blue colouration. The English phrase 'Once in a Blue Moon' has come to mean an event that rarely happens.

If you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel. See link for instructions on Angela's Angelic Meditation with Gabriel.

To the right is a beautiful image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood from my sister Angel McGerr's A Harmony of Angels book (and Harmony Angel Cards).

The Full Moon is a powerful and appropriate time to show gratitude for life and the riches and bounty bestowed upon us by Mother Earth (Gaia).

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, this is the Hawthorn Moon following soon after Beltane. Known as Huath (pronounced Hoh-uh), the plant is prickly with pretty blossoms and is associated masculine energy, fire and fertility; tradition dictating that male potency is high at this time of year.  Hawthorn can be used for magic rituals involving masculine power (it has a raw phallic energy about it), making professional connections and business decisions. The faerie realm are said ti like it, with the fae being particularly attracted when Hawthorns grow together with Ash and Oak. See thoughtco.com.

Other names for a Full Moon in May are: Flower Moon, Planting Moon, Milk Moon (Northern Hemisphere) or Hunter's Moon, Beaver Moon, Frost Moon (Southern Hemisphere). Names for the moon can also relate to the season, so this Full Moon could also be called the Grass Moon, Egg Moon, Planting Moon, Milk Moon, Rose Moon, Flower Moon or Strawberry Moon (after the spring equinox i.e. Northern Hemisphere) or Harvest Moon, Hunter's Moon, Frosty Moon, Beaver Moon, Moon Before Yule or Long Night Moon (after the autumn equinox i.e. Southern Hemisphere). Source = earthsky.org.

  • Saturday 20th March, Equinox & Egyptian Festival of Pelusia

Pagan EquinoxSaturday 20th March is the Pagan Vernal Equinox at 09.37.

The Equinox is a time when light and dark are equal over the whole world. It's good to mark the moment with silence and stillness.

On this day the sun rises exactly at due East and sets at due West. This fact makes it a good day for finding due east and due west from your favourite site for watching the night sky. Simply go outside around sunset or sunrise and notice the exact location of the sun on the horizon with respect to familiar landmarks. See Earthsky Websitefor more.

In the UK and the rest of the Northern Hemisphere, this is the Spring Equinox, in the Southern Hemisphere it's the Autumn Equinox.

Representing balance of opposites, symbolically it's a great time to bring harmony and balance into your life.

An Equilibrium Attunement is also available each year for £55 around 20th March and 22nd September (or whenever are the annual dates of Equinox).  It's also available as a group attunement as part of the Mindful Chakra Course (£66) which is currently mid-programme. The attunement is to balance the masculine/feminine polarities via connection with the Sun and Moon personified as Raphael and Gabriel (Essene Angelology) or Ra and Tehuti (Thoth) in Egyptian Philosophies. I add an additional connection to that of our planet Earth as well as the constellations. Interestingly, the planetary symbol for Earth is the same as the symbol for the angel Melchisadec, therefore bringing an alignment to Melchisadec energy for those who feel a connection. For the March Equinox, I include the zodiac symbols of Pisces (Angel = Barakiel) and Aries (Angel = Machidiel) as this is right on the cusp (changeover is 20th/21st March). For the September Equinox, I include the Zodiac symbols of Virgo and Libra. Email for details.

Here is Joanna's Equinox/Pelusia video, featuring the below Equinox Meditation with Phuel, which has recently been uploaded to YouTube:

It's been on Facebook since the live recording three years ago - when the Equinox was also on 20th March coinciding with Pelusia.

PhuelHere is an Angela McGerr Angelic Meditation with Barakiel (the ruler of Pisces) and Phuel (guardian angel of water) which could be conducted for the Equinox

The Zodiac Sign of Pisces is ruled by Neptune and is of course a Water Sign.

This Equinox day (final day of the Sign) gives you an opportunity to use the healing powers of Barakiel, Ruler of Pisces, and Phuel, Angel Ruler of Neptune, who is also Lord of Waters and Powers of the Moon.

See image of Phuel (right) by Richard Rockwood, taken from Angela's Harmony Angel Cards, last few copies available from our Harmony Shop (as it's now out of print).

Try this exercise with these two mighty Angels. Use it to heal, wash away emotional turbulence and hurt, for heart and thymus to re-expand.

    • You could do this exercise while in the bath, or just swimming, or if this is impossible just use your imagination.
    • Sit quietly and focus your attention within, thinking about your desire to calm your emotions.  Say Barakiel’s and Phuel's names three times to invite them in.
    • If you have an aquamarine (one of Phuel's crystals), hold this in your left hand and it will be programmed with healing during this exercise.
    • Start taking deep breaths of blue green energy, breathing them right down through your body.
    • Imagine you are walking in a beautiful place of nature.
    • Presently you come to a pool of crystal clear water, reflecting a blue sky.
    • Know that with the power of water energy your spirit can go down into this water to be healed and washed clean of emotional turbulence.
    • Imagine that you can step into the water and float in it.
    • If you wish to you can merge for a short time with the water itself, becoming the medium that nourishes fish and other water creatures.
    • The water is very still, silken in texture and peaceful.
    • The sun shines into its depths, lighting the grains of sand at the bottom.
    • Let go of your cares; they are washed away by the healing power of water.
    • When you feel relaxed, come out of the water (real or imaginary)
    • Ask Phuel to seal in your emotional healing, and seal your crystal with silver and aquamarine rays; remember to thank him and Barakiel for their assistance.

By keeping aligned with the movements of our planet, communities retained a sense of harmony and connection, thereby bringing balance into their lives. Harmony Healing activities are aimed at bringing harmony and wellbeing into your life. We have our next Full Moon Unity Consciousness virtual group meditation on Sunday 28th March (£22) and our New Moon New Vision lunar cycle alignment programme starts again on 12th April and will take in Beltane plus the 555 numerology (5 means expansion) of the 5th May.

Isis JTEMSaturday 20th March is also Egyptian Festival of Pelusia, with the Egyptian Goddess Isis (Aset) working her spring magic to ensure the flooding of the Nile later in the year, thereby guaranteeing a fruitful harvest. See Joanna's live Facebook Pelusia/Facebook video.

Image of Isis (left), was created for Harmony Healing by Antonia Skelton. We do have wonderfully informative Egyptian Deity Posters, by Jacqui Taliesin El Masry, available for sale from the Harmony Shop.

According to findwords.info, in the Roman Empire, the Pelusia was a religious festival held on the 20th March to honour Isis (known as Aset to the indigenous Egyptians) and her child Harpocrates (known to the Egyptians as Heru and later called Horus by the Greeks). It would have coincided with the second day of the Quinquatria, the five-day festival dedicated to Minerva(see Blog entry for 19th March). It's not known when the tradition started because the holiday was not featured in the Roman calendar by 100 AD, but had been added by the reign of Marcus Aurelius (161–180 AD).

In the 6th Century AD, John Lydus, the Byzantine scholar, describes the festival as commemorating the mud (we would now know as the alluvial plain) caused from the flooding of the Nile. This ends hunger and drought and generates fertility.  It was thought to be represented by the birth of Harpocrates (Deity of silence, secrets and confidentiality), who in Roman art is depicted emerging from mud bearing a Cornucopia.

During the Pelusia, participants were sprinkled with water to obtain immunity from offences to the gods (impunitas periurorum) and rebirth (regeneratio). The sprinkling is thought to recreate the symbolic effect of the flooding, indicating that water from the Nile itself may have been used as a form of holy water as it was in other Isis ceremonies brought to Rome. Regeneratio was also used in connection with Baptism in Christian discourse of the time.

In Egypt, the Pelusia on 20th March, marked the beginning of the sailing season. The day was under the protection of Isis and Serapis (the Graeco-Egyptian version of Osirus combined with Apis, introduced by the Ptolemies in the 1st Century BC).

By keeping traditions, communities retained a sense of harmony and connection, thereby bringing balance and wellbeing into their lives.

If you are looking for spiritually enlightening activities during lockdown, which help to connect you with the lunar cycle, we have the nextvirtual healing circle later this month  on  Sunday 28th March, at 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT), and costs £20 (+ £2 Paypal fee). During this session, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme.

If you would like to experience one of our spiritual offerings (meditation, reading, 1:1 healing, a Forest Bathing+ session or a full mentoring course), why not ask for a Harmony Healing gift voucherfor a birthday or other celebratory occasion?

A number of virtual courses are now ready, details on Harmony Healing Virtual Events. Currently, due to Coronavirus, most events will be virtual hence distant readings and healings are proving popular. • Saturday 24th July @ 03:37 (Friday night/Saturday morning) is Lunasa Thunder Full Moon & Angelic Meditation

    24 July Thunder Full Moon

Saturday 24th July is Lunasa Thunder Full Moon @ 03.37 (Friday night/Saturday morning). Our Full Moon Meditation this month is Friday 23rd July, 7.30-9.30pm UK time (GMT+1). This online guided meditation features personal & global healing and ends with an indigenous unity consciousness protocol. Cost to participate is £20, book here.

Between Full Moon and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body.

If you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel. See link for instructions on Angela McGerr's Full Moon Meditation with Gabriel. from her A Harmony of Angels Book, which is out of print and collectible but we still have a few remaining and personally signed copies via the Harmony Shop.

At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are in opposition. The solar (sun) energy influences our masculine/yang archetypal attributes (our outer world) such as strength, courage, identity, self-esteem, expression, conscious beliefs and determination together with our logical outlook.

The Native American tribes who named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. This is the Thunder Moon, so called due to the prevalence of summer thunder storms. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Other tribes knew it as the Full Buck Moon, to reflect the time of year that a buck's antlers would be fully frown. Some American Farmers have adopted these titles so that they are still used today. (See article in the Telegraph for more on this)

Although the Celts were believed to have revered nature, the idea that they also had tree names for each Full Moon of the year, is neo-Pagan, having been introduced by Robert Graves in the 1948, which I find rather charming. So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings,The Druids, venerated all nature and to them this is the Holly Moon,an evergreen which reminds us of the immortality of nature. See thoughtco.com.

Other names for a Full Moon in July are: Rose Moon, Thunder Moon, Hay Moon (Northern Hemisphere) or Wolf Moon, Old Moon, Ice Moon (Southern Hemisphere). Names for the moon can also relate to the season, so this Full Moon could also be called the Thunder Moon, Hay Moon, Green Corn Moon, Grain Moon, Fruit Moon or Harvest (after the Summer Solstice i.e. Northern Hemisphere) or Old Moon, Moon After Yule, Snow Moon, Hunger Moon, Wolf Moon, Sap Moon, Crow Moon, Lenten  Moon (after the Winter Solstice i.e. Southern Hemisphere). Source = earthsky.org.

The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend anoil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) and the New moon (good for starting new projects) is excellent for bringing balance and wellbeing into our lives.

24 July Guru PurnimaSaturday 24th July, being the day of the Full Moon in July, it is also Guru Purnima (the Full Moon of the Gurus) in Hindu tradition. The day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh of the Hindu calendar is traditionally celebrated as Guru Purnima by Hindus.

On this day, devotees offer puja (worship) to their Guru.

The Sanskrit root "Gu" means darkness or ignorance. "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore one who removes the darkness of ignorance is a Guru.

It is a day for celebration and worship, a day on which the disciples remember and express their gratitude to the lineage of Gurus.

Hindus believe that a Guru is necessary to make one understand the formless Divinity.

24 July Asalkha Puja daySaturday 24th July is Asalhka Puja Day; a Buddhist commemoration of the Buddha's first public speech to five ascetics.

He declared the middle way, the noble eight-fold path and the four noble truths upon which Buddhism is based.

  • Saturday 4th July/Sunday 5th July, Full Moon & Penumbral Lunar Eclipse @ 05.45

Moon Scarletts shot squareSunday 5th July (Saturday night/Sunday morning) @ 05.45 UK time (GMT+1) is the Oak Full Moon and Penumbral Lunar Eclipse).  The moon image to the left is by Scarlett Watkins.

There will be a penumbral lunar eclipse (in Capricorn) technically visible at 04.07 in London (although it will be very faint) but the maximum eclipse at 05.29 through to its end at 06.52 will be below the horizon in the UK.  This is the third eclipse in a series of three starting on 20th June but there will be another penumbral lunar eclipse at the very end of November and a total solar eclipse on 14th December.

What may be visible with this July full moon, is that it will shine near to the very bright planet Jupiter, and also to the ringed planet Saturn. You do need a telescope to see Saturn’s rings, but it's a treat to see Jupiter and Saturn close together.  More at earthsky.org.

Anyway, whatever the weather conditions, it's a fantastic excuse to get people of all ages outside in the fresh air and re-connecting with nature. Something our modern lifestyles and obsession with technology can distract us from doing. Weather permitting, outdoor moon bathing can be very therapeutic, simply breathe the silver energy in and out and, if the mood takes you, undertake an outdoor meditation. It’s a wonderful time to put crystals (don’t put out any soluble crystals if it might rain) outside to be recharged by the lunar energy.

Furthermore, whether the eclipse is visible or not, energetically we are all affected. Astrologically, lunar eclipses illuminate our shadow self, as defined by Carl Jung. This can be a challenging experience, as many of us are not keen (or even open) to acknowledging and addressing our faults. However, facing our suppressed emotions (such as anger, jealousy, greed) and confronting our fears provides a great opportunity to move forward in life; past what may have seemed to be insurmountable obstacles. Accepting that we have faults and integrating this knowledge internally is very beneficial for our personal spiritual development.

The Full Moon has a gravitation effect on the Earth, hence leading to a tidal impact on our oceans. Whilst it is has not been scientifically proven, it is logical to assume that this also has an impact on us as we are largely comprised of water (60-80% supposedly).

Tomorrow, Sunday 5th July, we are holding the next Virtual Harmony Healing Circle, 7.30-9.30pm £11 (half price to VFoA & RSE graduates).

With USA several hours behind us, as London Astrologer Tanya Cohen points out: This Full Moon is taking place on America’s birthday.  The Moon at 13 degrees Capricorn will be directly opposite the USA’s Cancer Sun. In Astrology, the Sun represents the core of who we are and why we are here. The eclipse will impact the very heart of America, directly challenging its identity and creative purpose as a nation. With its Sun at 10 degrees Capricorn and Moon at 19 degrees Cancer, The UK is also getting a direct hit.

Another friend and UK based astrologer, Lisa Mendes, summarises the eclipse energies as follows:

The eclipsed Moon will also make an earth trine to Uranus in Taurus, which could signal an about-turn or change of heart, particularly when it comes to diet, ingrained habits and matters of the heart.

This aspect is all about unexpected but positive shifts and the need to pivot internally in order to see things from a fresh perspective. Here, the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction, which took place in the same sign just a few days before (30 June), could add a degree of intensity to whatever is going on psychologically.

Add to that Saturn, which will retrograde back into Capricorn just before this eclipse, and we have the making of some major karmic tests or initiations. But also the potential for healing and some much-needed clarity or closure with regards to unresolved feelings or situations lingering from the last 2.5 years.

Taking place just after Independence Day in the US, this eclipse could also prove to be significant for America - not only will the Sun and Moon be making EXACT contact with the Cancer Sun in the US Sibley chart, but the luminaries will also form a T-square to the US Saturn in Libra. This could mean a major test of authority figures/leadership to see if those in charge are up to the job.

Given the prominence of Uranus and the importance of independence, democracy and civil liberties, both to US national identity and to Lyran starseeds, I suspect that this may well prove be a key theme running through whatever events transpire.

See Lisa's astrologysphere.com website for more. For those interested in the impact of eclipses on their personal zodiac, Lisa offers complementary video 'eclipse-scopes' to her subscribers, you can sign up at her astrology sphere online shop.

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, this is the Oak Moon when the Oak trees are reaching their full bloom splendour. The oak signifies strength and power, typically towering over its fellow trees and was highly sacred to the mighty Druids. The oak is associated with invocations for fertility, strength, power, success and abundance. An acorn is meant to bring luck at interviews or business meetings, whereas catching a falling oak leaf is meant to bring health and wellbeing all year. The Celts called this month Duir, sometimes believed to be the stem word for druid and meaning door. See thoughtco.com.

Gabriel Harmony Angel CardIf you are an angel fan, the Angel Guardian of the Sun is Raphael, symbolising healing, science and knowledge. The angel Guardian of the Moon is Gabriel bringing hopes, dreams and aspirations.

The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

  • Solstice Full Moon, Saturday 22nd December 2018

Saturday 22nd December is the Solstice Elder Full Moon @ 17.50.

If you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel.

To the left is a beautiful image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood from my sister Angel McGerr's A Harmony of Angels book (and Harmony Angel Cards).

Both are out of print and collectible but we still have a few remaining copies via the Harmony Shop.

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, and associated each with a tree; this is the Elder Moon(thoughtco.com). The Elder Moon marks a time of passing. The Elder bush damages easily but bursts back into life recovering promptly and so it is represents the coming New Year.

The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. As avoiding toxins is recommended for the Ivy Moon, detoxing might also be advisable. I recommend anoil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

  • Sturgeon Full Moon, Bank Holiday Weekend, 26th-27th August 2018

Image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood fro Angela McGerr's Harmony Angel Cards

Sunday 26th August is Pagan Full Moon at 12.58.

Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body.

© Surub | <a href="https://www.stockfreeimages.com/">Stock Free Images</a>The Sturgeon Moon, was so named by the Native American tribes who named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons.  There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Some Native Americans identified the Sturgeon Moon as it was the month when the fish were typically abundant in North America.  Although once plentiful, sadly now they are rare enough to be considered endangered. Sturgeons can grow enormous - they can reach over 2 metres long and weigh up to 90 kilos, plus they can have amazingly long lives, the males up to 55 years and the females up to 150 years.  Sturgeons have a strange grey-green colouration, a pointed snout and feature a cat-like pair of tactile whiskers above their mouth (amazing photo by © Surub | Stock Free Images) and are sometimes referred to as 'living fossils' as they are part of a genus of fish which has existed for over 135 million years! See more at timeanddate.com.

Other tribes knew this August Full Moon as the Green Corn Moon, Grain Moon, Barley Moonand Fruit Moon, as it was the month when these various crops were harvested. American Farmers have adopted these titles so that they are still used today. (See article in the Telegraph for more on this)

Similarly, the Druids and Celts also had names for each Full Moon of the year. The Druids, venerated all nature and to them this is the HazelMoon,as it's the season when the hazelnuts appear, and they were associated with protection and wisdom. Druid folklore revered the hazel for its connection with the sacred wells and magical springs which was home to the salmon of knowledge.  This August Full Moon  was also known by the Celts as the Coll Moon, which means 'the life force inside you'. It's considered timely to focus on wisdom and knowledge, dream journalling, divination and dowsing. Painters, writers and musicians might find it a good time to re-kindle their intuition after a possible artitistic block, try writing a poem or song this month. More about this at the Celtic Weirdness website I happily stumbled upon.

Sunday 26th August is also Raksha Bandhan, the Hindu festival honouring the bond between brothers and sisters.  Celebrated on the day of the Full Moon in August, some might celebrate it on the 25th August this year.  See website for more.

Monday 27th August is the Summer Bank Holiday in the UK.

22 August Sturgeon Full MoonSunday 22nd August @ 13:02 is Sturgeon Moon, Blue Moon by old definition (the third of four Full Moons, when there are four in one season rather than the usual three). The Sun enters Virgo at 22:35  There's no Full Moon meditation this month.

The Hungry Ghost Festival, also known as the Zhongyuan Festival, takes place on the 15th day of the Ghost Month (which starts at a New moon), so it naturally co-incides with a Full Moon.

22 August Hindu Raksha Bandan FestivalSunday 22nd August is also Raksha Bandhan, the Hindu festival honouring the bond between brothers and sisters.

Celebrated on the day of the Full Moon in August, see Wikipedia for more on this.

Brothers take a vow to protect their sisters, whilst sisters pray for a long long life for their brothers, sealed by tying a thread around their right wrist.

By keeping traditions, communities with different belief systems retain a sense of harmony and connection, thereby bringing balance and wellbeing into their lives.

  • Sunday 27th June, Boötids Meteor Shower peaks today

26th June Bootids Meteor ShowerSunday 27th Juneis predicted as the peak of the Boötids Meteor Shower (if they are visible at all this year), best observed in Northern Hemisphere. Look to constellation Boötes where Arcturus is located.

This is known for very slow meteors, and is an unpredictable source, the June Boötids produced an unexpected outburst in 1998.

An informative webpage at spaceweather.com is worth looking at, even though it doesn't seem to have been updated since 2003.

Although they are not active every year, they can occur any time between 22nd June and Tuesday 2nd July.

In 2021, the peak is anticipated at 11.00 on 27th this year, so the best viewing will be before dawn or after dusk on Sunday 27th June. However, with the Full Moon occurring on Thursday 24th June, the peak dates will span high moonlight pollution. From more northerly latitudes (including UK), however, the all-night twilight poses a greater problem for observers. More at in-the-sky.org, including a map of the radiant point.

But whether we can physically see anything or not, the meteor shower will still affect us energetically.

Zikiel squareYou can invoke the Angel Zikiel (Angel Guardian of Meteors and Asteroids) tonight for inspirational new ideas seemingly out of nowhere; offering you a visionary flash of inspiration from the Sky.

Zikiel (image left is by Richard Rockwood from Angela McGerr's Heart & Soul Angel Cards) guides the comets and meteorites in their eternal passage through space, tracking man's galactic origins.

You can invoke Zikiel by calling his name three times (pronunciation = Zick ee el) and adding 'I call upon you to be with me now, 'in love & light, in love & light, in love and light'.

If you have a clear quartz, you can programme it with Zikiel's name and keep it with you to help capture any inspirational thoughts channelled from the heavens tonight and also to help your heart to make the right choices.

This ritual is taken from Angela McGerr's An Angel For Every Day - now out of print and in very short supply.

However, we do still have some of Angela's out of print titles (generally also personally signed by her) available via Harmony Shop.

  • Thursday 12th December, Elder Full Moon plus 3:3:3 numerology again

Thursday 12th December is the Elder Full Moon @ 05.14 (Wednesday day night/Thursday morning) and as it is a numerological 12:12:12 as well as the second example of 3:3:3 numerology this month, I will be conducting an Awaken Your Avatar guided meditation from 3pm - 3.33pm (UK time), see below for details.

See link for instructions on Angela's Angelic Meditation with Gabriel.

At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are in opposition. The solar (sun) energy influences our masculine/yang archetypal attributes (our outer world) such as strength, courage, identity, self-esteem, expression, conscious beliefs and determination together with our logical outlook.

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, and associated each with a tree; this is the Elder Moon(thoughtco.com). The Elder Moon marks a time of passing. The Elder bush damages easily but bursts back into life recovering promptly and so it is represents the coming New Year.

The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend anoil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

Jo with avatar insetThursday 12th December, at 3pm (UK time is GMT/UT) for 33 minutes, I am offering my Awaken Your Avatar online programme (via Zoom) to take advantage of the 3:3:3 energy (see below for a reminder of this powerful numerology). Cost to participate is £13.33 per person. See Awaken Your Avatar on Harmony Healing website for details and to book. The Awaken Your Avatar meditation involves working with the Violet flame of transmutation to identify and overcome what is holding you back from achieving your full potential.

Thursday 12th December, as well as being the Full Moon, is also the second 3:3:3 numerology for this month, for which I've chosen the theme Awaken Your Avatar; which is basically a suggestion that we consolidate our internal conflict. This involves balancing our masculine/feminine, home/work-life, even positive/negative personality traits, and focussing on connecting with our inner knowing (Higher Self) which we all hold within. This also means opening the heart and working toward integrating the Higher Self (spiritual aspects) and Lower Self (basic functional needs) to create an enlightened being (Avatar). Below is a recap of the 3:3:3 numerology and theme for this month.

2019 is a '3' year in numerology (2+0+1+9 = 12, then 1+2 =3), December is the 12th month, where the digits add up to 3 (as they did in March being the third month). Hence the 3rd, 12th, 21st and 30th December provide four individual examples of 3:3:3 numerology, which can be interpreted as meaning 'Awaken your Avatar' as well as 'creating heaven on earth'. These dates will all offer amplified energies for manifesting our hopes and dreams.  See also the Harmony Healing Blog entry below for 3rd December for more anecdotes about the 3:3:3 numerology.

  • Thursday 18th November, Beaver Full Moon Meditation at 19.30 UK time/GMT (Full Moon peaks Friday 19th at 08:58)

19 Dec Full Moon in Dec

Thursday 18th November is the Beaver Full Moon meditation. The Full Moon peaks at 08:58 on Friday 19th, when we also have a penumbral eclipse, the first of two eclipses in the next 30 days.

Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

This month we have an eclipse; part of analmost tetrad" (link to timeanddate.com for details), when a series of four major lunar eclipses in two years. Starting in May this year, three of these eclipses are total, while the one taking place early tomorrow UK time, is a deep partial eclipse, that is so deep that it is nearly a total eclipse. It will be visible in  Austalia, North and South America parts of Asia and europe. It's visible in the Uk between 06.02 and 07.24 then it will disappear behind the horizon.

Even when we don't see an eclipse, it affects us energetically. Eclipses bring an opportunity for deep transformation; allow it to help you discover better clarity, understanding and more inner contentment.

If you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel. Click here for Angela McGerr's Full Moon Angelic Meditation with Gabriel from my sister Angel McGerr's A Harmony of Angels book which is long out of print and collectible but we still have a few remaining copies via the Harmony Shop.

18 Nov FULL MOON MeditationAs the peak of the Full Moon is at 08:58 on Friday 19th, we will hold our monthly Full Moon  meditation on Thursday 18th November at 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT). Participants all receive a deeply healing experience.

The Native American tribes named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. The November Moon is caled the Beaver Moon,as this is when they bulid their dams. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. This was noted as the month when game fattens. See more at timeanddate.com.

Although the Celts, wth their Druid priests, were believed to have revered nature, the idea that they also had tree names for each Full Moon of the year, is neo-Pagan, having been introduced by Robert Graves in the 1948, which I find rather charming. So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings, This is the Reed Moon(thoughtco.com). Samhain (Halloween, 31st October) hhas passed and the year is coming to a close. Reeds were used by the Celts to make wind

Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) and the New moon (good for starting new projects) is excellent for bringing balance and wellbeing into our lives.  I have a lunar alignment course running at he moment, the next lunar cycle study course will be in 2022.

instruments and at this time of year, as the wind blows through the dying reeds (they die back in winter), and the resulting eerie haunting sound was thought to be the souls of the departed on their final journey to the underworld. The Celts called this month Negatal (pronounced nyettle) and it's a time for magical relating to spirit guides, meditation, energy work and honouring the cycle of life - birth, death and re-birth.  It's also a good time for scrying and divination. The neo pagans sometimes refer to this month by it's alternative name of Elm Moon.

Other names for a Full Moon in November are: Frost Moon, Hunter's Moon, Mourning Moon or Flower Moon, (Southern Hemisphere). Names for the moon can also relate to the season, so this Full Moon could also be called the Harvest Moon, or Hunter’s Moon, Frosty Moon, Beaver Moon (after the autumnal equinox)or Grass Moon, Egg Moon, Planting Moon, or Milk Moon, Rose Moon, Flower Moon, or Strawberry Moon (after the spring equinox). Source = earthsky.org.

  • Thursday 24th June @ 19.40, Solstice Strawberry Full Moon (& Angelic Meditation)

24th June Full MoonThursday 24th June is Full Moon @19.40 UK time (GMT/UT+1; click here to convert to your time zone). It's the Summer Solstice Strawberry Supermoon as well as Midsummers Day, also known as the Lotus Moon, Oak Moon, Cold Moon or Long Night’s Moon.

This Full Moon is the third and final of three consecutive Supermoons. A Supermoon or Super Full Moon are names used when a Full Moon takes place at a time when the Moon is near its closest approach to Earth. See timeanddate.

A Supermoon is when the moon appears larger in the sky because it is reaches the closest proximity to Earth (known as the perigee*) coinciding with the New Moon or Full Moon. Since the New Moon is only a sliver to the naked eye, the Full Moon Supermoons are much more of a visual treat, when the moon may appear up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than on any other Full Moon occasion. Although it may not seem all that noticeable to us and of course it will depend on good clear viewing conditions; however due to an optical illusion, it will always look bigger and more luminous when closer to the horizon.

*The moon orbits around the Earth in an ellipse which takes just over 29 days, meaning that it reaches points in the year when it is at its closest (perigee, when it is about 363,000 km away) and furthest (apogee, when it is about 405,500 KM) from our planet.

Our Full Moon image this month is called Essence of the Moon painting by Zoe Hudson. For commission enquiries, email  or see Zoe's website.

If you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel. See link for instructions on Angela's Angelic Meditation with Gabriel  from her A Harmony of Angels Book, which is out of print and collectible but we still have a few remaining copies via the Harmony Shop.

Although the Celts were believed to have revered nature, the idea that they also had tree names for each Full Moon of the year, is neo-Pagan, having been introduced by Robert Graves in the 1948, which I find rather charming. So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings, this is the Oak Moon when the Oak trees are reaching their full bloom splendour. The oak signifies strength and power, typically towering over its fellow trees and was highly sacred to the mightly Druids.

  • Thursday 7th May, Willow Full Moon & Supermoon @ 11.45 so will look fuller tonight than tomorrow

    Moon Scarletts shot

Thursday 7th May is Willow Full Moon and Supermoon is @ 11.45 (UK time = GMT+1/UT+1).  It will probably look fuller tonight that tomorrow night.

This is the third and final of Supermoons, it's the third largest, third closest third brightest of the three, but will still look considerably brighter than a normal Full Moon..

*The moon orbits around the Earth in an ellipse which takes just over 29 days, meaning that it reaches points in the year when it is at its closest (perigee, when it is about 363,000 km away) and furthest (apogee, when it is about 405,500 KM) from our planet. Those old enough might be reminded of Bed Knobs and Broomsticks when Angela Lansbury mentions the perigee and apogee in one of her invocations!

Both are out of print and collectible but we still have a few remaining copies via the Harmony Shop.

At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are in opposition. The solar (sun) energy influences our masculine/yang archetypal attributes (our outer world) such as strength, courage, identity, self-esteem, expression, conscious beliefs and determination together with our logical outlook.

The Celts had names for each Full Moon of the year, this is the Willow Moon.  At this time of year, Europeans can expect the best conditions for healthy growth of the Willow, namely lots of rain!  Known as Saille (pronounced Sahl-yeh) it is associated with healing and growth. Willows planted close to your home are reputed to provide protection from flooding, storms and other natural disasters, even warding away other dangers. More about this at the Celtic Weirdness website I happily stumbled upon.  This may be why they are often planted in cemeteries. Willow month is the time to work on healing rituals, building esoteric knowledge, studying women's mysteries and nurturing yourself and others.   Also see thoughtco.com.

Similarly the Native American tribes who named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. This is the Flower Moon, due to the beautiful blossoms dotting the landscape. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Other tribes knew it as the Corn Planting Moon, Planting Moon and Milk Moon. Some American Farmers have adopted these titles so that they are still used today. (See article in the Telegraph for more on this)

The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

  • Tuesday 27th April, Beltane Pink Moon & Supermoon @ 04.31 so will look fuller tonight than tomorrow (monthly guided meditation is tonight)

    Moon Scarletts shot

Tuesday 27th April (Monday night/Tuesday morning) @ 04.31 is Beltane Pink Full Moon.

Our Full Moon virtual healing circle is he evening before onMonday 26th April, at 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT+1), and costs £20 (+ £2 Paypal fee). During this session, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme.

This Full Moon is the first of three consecutive Supermoons.

Those old enough might be reminded of Bed Knobs and Broomsticks when Angela Lansbury mentions the perigee and apogee in one of her invocations!

Gabriel in corp coloursIf you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel.

The Full Moon is a powerful and appropriate time to show gratitude for life and the riches and bounty bestowed upon us by Mother Earth (Gaia).

The Native American tribes who named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. This is the Pink Moon, however this isn't because it takes on a pink hue, it's named after the plethora of pink wildflowers blossoming in North America at this time. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Other tribes knew it as the Egg Moon, to reflect spring egg-laying season whereas some coastal tribes called it the Fish Moon beacuse it's when the shad swimming upstream.

So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings, this is the Willow Moon. The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) and the New moon (good for starting new projects) is excellent for bringing balance and wellbeing into our lives.

Harmony Healing activities are aimed at bringing harmony and wellbeing into your life. The next RSE 1 module series starts 14th May with Violet Flame of Amenti and 17th May with Chakra Balancing, Axiatonal Alignment and Unity Consciousness.

• Wednesday 20th October, Hunter Full Moon @ 15:57 & Full Moon Meditation at 19.30 UK time

21 Sep Harvest Equinix Full MoonWednesday 20th October @ 15:57 is the Hunter Full Moon.

Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.

The Full Moon is a powerful and appropriate time to show gratitude for life and the riches and bounty bestowed upon us by Mother Earth (Gaia).

20 Sep FULL MOON MeditationAs the peak of the Full Moon is at 15:57 we will hold the meditation on Wednesday 20th October at 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT +1). Participants all receive a deeply healing experience.

During these monthly sessions, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness.

This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme. And, most importantly, it's a step towards making a difference to the global predicament. Cost to participate is £20 by online BACS payment (small admin fee added for PayPal) or half price to RSE graduates. Book at the Harmony Shop.

The Native American tribes named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. The Full Moon nearest to the Equinox is the Hunter Moon (also an Anglo-Saxon term), Harvest Moon(it can be in September or October) or Blood Moon. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. This was noted as the month when game fattens. Traditionally, this month would have been used for hunting, slaughtering and preserving meats for the coming winter months. Other names are Travel Moon and Dying Grass Moon. Some also called it Blood Moon or Sanguine Moon, which also refers to the hunting season. See more at timeanddate.com.

Although the Celts, wth their Druid priests, were believed to have revered nature, the idea that they also had tree names for each Full Moon of the year, is neo-Pagan, having been introduced by Robert Graves in the 1948, which I find rather charming. So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings, this is the Ivy Moon(thoughtco.com). Samhain (Halloween, 31st October) is approaching and the year is coming to a close. The Ivy Moon marks the end of the harvest season, when most of the plants have withered but the evergreen Ivy carries on (even when its host has died), reminding us of the ongoing circle of life - life, death and rebirth. The Celts called the month Gort (pronounced go-ert) and it is seen as a time to banish fear and negativity from your life. Protect yourself from people, products and activities that are toxic to you. Ivy can be used in magical ceremonies for protection, healing, co-operation and for binding lovers together.

Other names for a Full Moon in October are: Harvest Moon, Hunter's Moon, Blood Moon (not to be confused witht a term for a Total Lunar Eclipse) or Sanguine Moon (Northern Hemisphere) or Egg Moon, Fish Moon, Seed Moon, Pink Moon, Waking Moon, (Southern Hemisphere).

  • Wednesday 26th May, Blood Moon, Supermoon @ 12.14 and Total Lunar Eclipse

    Moon Scarletts shot

Wednesday 26th May is Hawthorn Supermoon (and Total Lunar Eclipse) @ 12:14.

Total lunar eclipses are sometimes called a Full Blood Moon Eclipse because of the orange-red glow the moon seems to adopt during the eclipse phase.

The Full Moon is closest to the Earth on the day of this eclipse too, making it seem larger in the sky, hence it is a Blood Super Full Moon Eclipse.

Although the eclipse won't be visible in UK or Europe, it will still affect us energetically. It will be at least partially visible throughout the majority of North & South America, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Antarctica, South/East Asia, Australia, Pacific. More about the eclipse at timeanddate.com.

This Full Moon is the second of three consecutive Supermoons.

So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings, this is the Hawthorn Moon following soon after Beltane.
