Friday 16th April @ 19:57 UK time (GMT +1) is Easter Pink Full Moon.
Our Full Moon Global & Personal Healing Meditation is Saturday 16th April, 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT+1), and costs £20. During this session, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme.
If you are an angel fan, the angel of the Moon is Gabriel. See link for instructions on Angela's Angelic Meditation with Gabriel.
To the right is a beautiful image of Gabriel by Richard Rockwood from my sister Angel McGerr's A Harmony of Angels book (and Harmony Angel Cards). Both are out of print and collectable but we still have a few remaining copies via the Harmony Shop.
At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are in opposition. The solar (sun) energy influences our masculine/yang archetypal attributes (our outer world) such as strength, courage, identity, self-esteem, expression, conscious beliefs and determination together with our logical outlook. Whereas the lunar energy (moon) influences our femininely archetypal attributes (our inner world), such as our unconscious beliefs, hidden emotions, nurturing feelings, creativity and intuition. The Full Moon is a powerful and appropriate time to show gratitude for life and the riches and bounty bestowed upon us by Mother Earth (Gaia).
The Native American tribes who named each moon to keep track of the months and seasons. This is the Pink Moon, however this isn't because it takes on a pink hue, it's named after the plethora of pink wildflowers blossoming in North America at this time. There isn't a standardised system however, as some tribes took a year to be 12 moon cycles, whilst others went with 13 moon cycles. Similarly some tribes worked with five seasons per year whereas others went with four. Other tribes knew it as the Egg Moon, to reflect spring egg-laying season whereas some coastal tribes called it the Fish Moon beacuse it's when the shad swimming upstream. Some American Farmers have adopted these titles so that they are still used today. (See article in the Telegraphfor more on this).
Although the Celts were believed to have revered nature, the idea that they also had tree names for each Full Moon of the year, is neo-Pagan, having been introduced by Robert Graves in the 1948, which I find rather charming. So, according to Robert Graves's imaginings, this is the Willow Moon. At this time of year, Europeans can expect the best conditions for healthy growth of the Willow, namely lots of rain! Known as Saille (pronounced Sahl-yeh) it is associated with healing and growth. Willows planted close to your home are reputed to provide protection from flooding, storms and other natural disasters, even warding away other dangers. More about this at the Celtic Weirdness website I happily stumbled upon. This may be why they are often planted in cemeteries. Willow month is the time to work on healing rituals, building esoteric knowledge, studying women's mysteries and nurturing yourself and others. Also see thoughtco.com.
The time between any Full Moon and the next New Moon is a good time, energetically, to detox the body. I recommend an oil pulling technique, with coconut oil, which must be from a glass container for best taste.
Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) and the New moon (good for starting new projects) is excellent for bringing balance and wellbeing into our lives. If you are looking for regular spiritually enlightening activities which help to connect you with the lunar cycle, we have our monthly Full Moon Guided Healing Meditations. Participants all receive a deeply healing experience. Cost to participate is £20 or half price to RSE graduates. There are multi-buy packages for regular attendees. Book at the Harmony Shop.
For full immersion with moon energy join one of our New Moon New Vision, Lunar Cycle Alignment Programmes. Our current New Moon New Vision lunar cycle alignment programme started with the New Moon 1st April and runs until 30th April, will most likely next run 25th October - 23rd November.
