June is British summertime. The roses bloom, imprinting their perfumed scent into the extended evenings leading to the Solstice on the 21st. Garden flowers and hedgerows are splendidly colourful and summer berries are abundant.  This year, after extended lockdown, we will relish the picnic season with strawberries & ice-cream plus elderflower cordial; despite optimism versus realism whilst planning for both rain and/or sunburn risk.

The month could be named after Juno, the Roman Goddess Goddess linked with marriage. To the Anglo-Saxons, it was called sera monath (dry month), which is not necessarily our modern-day experience.

During June, as well as our own traditional British Festivals, we have a couple of international events – World Environment Day (3rd) and Asteroid Day (30th).  We can look forward to a sprinkling of Chinese, Egyptian and Roman celebrations plus the Bootid Meteor Shower as well as a solar eclipse on 10th June. Unlike the lunar eclipse at the end of May, this solar eclipse will be visible in most of UK and Europe, and like the May lunar eclipse it will have an energetic impact globally. We have Surrey Forest Bathing events on 19th & 22nd with the Full Moon Guided Healing meditation taking place on the 23rd, the night before the Solstice Strawberry Moon (coinciding with Mid Summers Day) reaches its peak.

5th June alternative World Environment DaySaturday 5th June is World Environment day, which has been celebrated annually since 1972.

Over the years, the day has focused on such issues as acid rain, oceans, water, and green cities.

Happy World Ocean Day Instagram SquareTuesday 8th June is World Ocean Day.

This annual event, recognised since 2016, is designed to unite and rally the world to protect and restore our blue planet.

World Ocean Day, powered by World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council, works with an international network of youth and organisational leaders, in more than 140 countries, to support collaborative conservation.

10th June New MoonThursday 10th June @ 11:53 (Solstice Dark Moon & Annular Solar Eclipse), visible in most of Europe, North America & Asia, plus in North/West Africa, Atlantic & Arctic areas. See timeanddate.com.

The New Moon Abundance Ritual should be carried out within 24 hours after the New Moon. It needs to be after the New Moon because the moon should be waxing (getting bigger again) to carry the manifestation energy. There are video instructions on my Facebook Page or You Tube Page.

New Moon is a good time to work on your Vision Board for the rest of 2021.

14th June Chinese Dragon Boat FestivalMonday 14th June is scheduled as the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival in Mandarin and Tuen Ng Festival in Cantonese. The Festival is to commemorate the Chinese patriot, Qu Yuan, who killed himself by jumping into the river Li in despair. He was desperate because his master refused to take his advice and he feared his country falling into the enemy's hands  It is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar, which falls this year on Monday 14th June.  However, celebrations often take place on convenient weekends in the Western calendar - such as the London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festivalwhich was scheduled to take place this year in late June.  I'm not sure either willl be happening.

16th June Leyleten NuktahWednesday 16th June is the Egyptian night, known as Leyleten-Nuktah, the Night of the Tear Drop.

A miraculous tear-drop as Aset (Isis) began the mourning of her brother/husband Asar (Osirus), was believed to fall into the Nile causing it to rise and bring new life to the land.

Sources vary as to whether this is 14th/16th/17th or 18th June; the date is actually the 11th day of the Ancient Egyptian month of Ba-oo-neh, so the confusion arises when trying to covert this to our Gregorian calendar.

To purchase instructions for a sacred bath ritual for finding inner strength; removing the etheric mask to see the ‘truth’ beneath(£4.44 or £2.22 to email subscribers) see Harmony Shop or email .Subscriber discount code will be sent to Blog update subscribers on 16th June.

Some of the scientifically proven benefits of spending time in woodland include reduced stress levels, stronger immune system response, and a stabilised cortisol cycle.

We have small groups of maximum 12* including guide(s) to allow us to adopt COVID precautions and social distancing. Book at Eventbrite. If the event is full, email me on  to go on a waitlist. *We were previously exempt from the social group maximum 6 rule due to our categorisation under sport and exercise.

This is a 3-hour Forest Bathing+ session which will take place in all weathers except 30+mph winds.

20th June Egyptian Festival of the Burning of the LampsSunday 20th June is the Egyptian Festival of the Burning of the Lamps which was held at Sais (source Bibliotheca Alexandrina, p31, also available via Academia.edu,date from Moonwise Calendar). This is the third great festival in Sais to Aset (Isis).

In an under-chapel beneath the temple, lamps were carried in procession around the coffin of Asar (Osiris). It was by the power of light, symbolising the life-giving power of the Moon, that Aset rekindled life in her dead husband.

The exact date is actually the 13th day of the Ancient Egyptian month of Epeiph, so confusion arises when trying to covert this to our Gregorian calendar and some sources give variations especially 21st June.

21st June Summer SolsticeMonday 21st June at 04.32 is the Pagan Celebration of the Solstice, the moment when the sun enters Cancer.  In the Northern Hemisphere, this is viewed as the triumph of light, the ecstatic culmination of the sun, yet the start of growing darkness.

Old traditions included: Making a bonfire on a hilltop, sing, drink, laugh and time of merry-making.  Processions with torches and lanterns, rolling wheel down hill to mark the start of the sun’s descent, blessing cakes and wine, waiting for the dawn and greeting the sun when it rises, sleeping by a spring, rolling naked in the dew of the summer sunrise! Tuesday 22nd June, 10.30am – 1.30pm Forest Bathing+ at Newlands Corner, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in the Surrey Hills, £35 (+ Eventbrite fee = £38.32).

Join me for a reviving yet relaxing Forest Bathing+ session in our local ancient woodlands? I will lead you slowly and purposefully through a series of mindfulness-based sensory exercises and a treelaxation.

3rd June FB at WinkworthDeeply relaxing and surprisingly profound, you will be delighted by your reconnection with, and enhanced appreciation for, nature.  Despite the name, there's no swimming involved, this relates to bathing in the ambience of the tree canopy.

We have small groups of maximum 12*, including your guide(s) to allow us to adopt COVID precautions and social distancing. *We were previously exempt from the social group maximum 6 rule due to our categorisation under sport and exercise.

2-hour Full Moon Guided Personal & Global Healing & Unity Consciousness Meditation, 23rd June @ £22
    To book via Paypal

24th June Full MoonThursday 24th June is Full Moon @ 19.40 UK time.

It's the Summer Solstice Oak Strawberry Supermoon as well as Midsummers Day, also known as the Lotus Moon, Oak Moon, Cold Moon or Long Night’s Moon.

Between Full Moon and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body.

Image, left, shows Essence of the Moon painting by Zoe Hudson. For commission enquiries, see Zoe's website or email  .

For details of Full Moon timings for 2021, as well as instructions for an Angela McGerr's Full Moon Meditation with Gabriel (from Angela McGerr's book A Harmony of Angel, we have a few unused signed editions available from the Harmony Shop),see the Harmony Healing Full Moon listing.

24th June Mid Summers DayThursday 24th June is also Midsummers Eve and was considered magical in Cornwall and Ireland, when there was feasting, fires, songs, and dances. Bonfires were kindled on high hills to commemorate the high point of the year. Traditionally, the veil is thin between the dimensions housing the living and the dead at this time.

This is also the Roman Festival of Fors Fortuna.  Forsis an ancient Roman Goddess of prosperity, good luck, and divine blessings. Her name means "She Who Brings", from the Latin verb fero, synonymous with abundance and success.  This seems to have merged with Fortuna, probably originally a Goddess of fertility, into the Goddess called Fors Fortuna, who was acknowledged as sometimes being fickle or wanton and representing Fortune as Goddess of luck or chance.  She was especially worshipped by slaves and commoners, as the Goddess who could bring about rags-to-riches transformations; with at least two dedicated temples in Rome being founded by former slaves in gratitude for their changed luck.

26th June Bootids Meteor ShowerSaturday 26th June (Friday night/Saturday morning) is predicted as the peak of the Bootids Meteor Shower; if they are visible at all this year.  Although they are not active every year, they can occur any time between 22nd June and 2nd July.

In 2021, with the Full Moon occurring on 24th June, the peak dates will span a period of considerable moonlight pollution.

From more northerly latitudes (including UK), the all-night twilight poses an additional problem for observers.

More at in-the-sky.org, including a map of the radiant point.

30th June Asteroid DayWednesday 30th June is Asteroid Day. Asteroid Day was co-founded in 2014, by Dr. Brian May, astrophysicist and lead guitarist of QUEEN, together with Rusty Schweickart, Apollo 9 Astronaut, Danica Remy, President of B612 Foundation and filmmaker Grig Richters.

Asteroid Day events take place annually on 30th June to mark the anniversary of the Tunguska impact in 1908.

Its purpose is to expand the understanding of asteroids and to ensure that any asteroids which might ever have a direct impact on our planet are carefully monitored.

It is created using many sources but notably the Moonwise Calendar and Lia Leendertz's 2021 Almanac. Whilst considerable effort is made to ensure accuracy, this is not an exact science and sources are sometimes contradictory!

These monthly Celestial Forecasts (CF) are generally uploaded to the Harmony Healing website a fortnight ahead and can be accessed via the drop-down box on the right. They are sent out to the main mailing list and CF subscribers a few days before the month starts.

Extracts from the Celestial Forecast are reproduced in Glyden Magick, an online magazine offered via Gylden Fellowship which is a fabulous resource for Neo-Pagans (particularly in the South of England when physical meet-ups can resume).

  • Friday 21st June, Summer Solstice

Friday 21st June at 16.54 is the Pagan Celebration of the Solstice, the moment when the sun enters the constellation of Cancer.  In the Northern Hemisphere, it's the Summer Solstice viewed as the triumph of light, the ecstatic culmination of the sun, yet the start of growing darkness.

There will be thousands at Stonehenge to welcome in this turning point in the year. See https://stonehengetours.com/summer-solstice-celebrations.htm who also offer an inclusive coach tour from London and Bath for the Thursday sunset and the Friday sunrise. However, the year I went, when there were about 19,000 others, you could just drive there and enter free other than parking charges (£15 for a car, £5 for a motorobike) - if you;d like to make your own way and join in see English Heritage Stonehenge Solstice details.  It is an unforgetable experience.

Last year around 30 of us gathered at the Clandon Wood Nature Reserve to watch the sunrise, my friends Olga and Gary will be hosting this again on Friday 21st June, between 04.00 & 07.00 (I will be there from around 4.30), details here: http://meetu.ps/e/GHMsp/158vg/f, but I think it will be full. Best to book early next year if you like the sound of it.

Clandon Wood is near Guildford, Surrey.

Here are pictures of last year. We enjoyed an amazing sunrise with a mystical cloud formation over the horizon.

Thursday 20th June – Tuesday 2nd July is the Bootids Meteor Shower, predicted to be less active this year, peaking on Sunday 23rd June (see Blog entry under 23rd June). For advance notification (before the 23rd June Blog is published) see June Celestial Forecast

A similar event was planned at Clandon Wood for this year - when the UK lockdown restrictions were due to be lifted on the day but have been delayed a month - so are now cancelled.

This year, I am attending a whole day to celebrate the Summer Solstice at Harrry Edwards Healing Sanctuary in Shere, where I regularly offer Forest Bathing+ sessions in the grounds. There will be a smaller gong bath gathering, starting at 10,30, followed by a walk in their labyrinth and other festivities. I only heard at the last minute and was lucky to get a space just before they closed bookings.

By keeping aligned with the movements of our planet, communities retained a sense of harmony and connection, thereby bringing balance and wellbeing into their lives.

Harmony Healing activities are aimed at bringing harmony and wellbeing into your life. Through Harmony Healing, Joanna offers a wider spectrum of events designed to nurture your welbeing. If you are looking for regular spiritually enlightening activities, we have our monthly Full Moon Guided Healing Meditations. The next one is on Wednesday 23rd Juneat 7.30-9.30pm (UK time = GMT +1). Participants all receive a deeply healing experience. Cost to participate is £20 by online BACS payment (small admin fee added for PayPal) or half price to RSE graduates.

During these monthly session, we connect with other like-minded people and together we work through a mindful chakra balancing process using colours and etheric crystals, with the aim that all participants will experience a degree of unity consciousness. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme. And, most importantly, it's a step towards making a difference to the global predicament.

The other two modules have recently completed but can be studied with the next series.

  • New Moon Abundance Ritual & Vision Boards

Moon Scarletts shotAbundance cheques are a tool we can use to create more abundance in our lives. They are written within 24 hours after a New Moon.  There are video instructions on my Harmony Healing Facebook Page.

Surprisingly, you don't need to believe that the cheque will work when you write it.

Apparently, you will be amazed at the results, as you will see increased abundance in your life, in some life area. It is not always financial, but certainly in an area that you need. There is a traditional manner, which has been handed down, that must be followed. If you do not have a bank account you can draw a cheque on a piece of paper and fill it out the same way - the results will be the same, more abundance for you.

1.) Within 24 hours after a New Moon, take a cheque from your cheque book. Where it says "Pay to," write your name.
2.) In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a UK Sterling amount write "Paid in full."
3.) On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a sterling amount in figures, write "Paid in full."
4.) Sign the cheque: "The Law of Abundance."

Do not put a date on the cheque. Do not write a specific amount in the cheque. Put it in a safe place and forget about it. The Universe will take it from there.

If you don't have a cheque book, or don't want to use up a cheque, you can write the information on any piece of paper (or even a virtual cheque in your imagination); it is the intent which counts.  Or you can click here for an A4 page showing three blank cheques with instructions.

Within 48 hours after a New Moon is a good time to work on your Vision Board, so this is a good time to create or update one for the rest of 2020. click here for a Vision Board template by Serafina Krupp based on the Bagua Map.

Aligning ourselves with the moon cycle is very therapeutic, hence being aware of the Full Moon (a good time for bringing projects to a conclusion) and the New Moon (good for starting new projects) is excellent for bringing harmony and wellbeing into our lives.

Monthly Virtual Full Moon Meditations, Global Healing & Unity Consciousness
Harmony Healing hosts a Full Moon Virtual Healing Circle,7.30-9.30pm UK time (GMT).

Participants all receive a deeply healing experience. This activity serves as a good taster of my work in general and the virtual format of our Zoom based programme. And, most importantly, it's a step towards making a difference to the global predicament. To find out how working on your own spiritual consciousness can help humanity and the planet by raising the overall human consciousness levels, see my You Tube explanation.
